Monet at Giverny
Monet tended this place for more than 40 years, his passion for colours and gardening creating a real Secret Garden and House; you wanted to linger, enter his world and paintings. The Maison itself, with its bright colours and tiles, open windows and lace curtains, was like an extension of his wonderful pictures. The blue-greens blending with bright sunshine.
But it took patience to get a shot of the Japanese bridge and Lily ponds with no jolly people in it.
